Toni Hunter spoke to us about growing up in the Burnage Garden Village, a garden suburb built on the outskirts of Manchester in 1906. The well spaced houses built around a bowling green with plentiful green space helped to influence the Corporation Estates which would be built in Burnage twenty years later.
It was a real community, with parties and sports days. Toni shares her memories here.
