Toni Hunter: A Garden Village Childhood
Toni Hunter lived in several houses on the Garden village and shares her happy childhood memories.
Toni Hunter spoke to us about growing up in the Burnage Garden Village, a garden suburb built on the outskirts of Manchester in 1906. The well spaced houses built around a bowling green with plentiful green space helped to influence the Corporation Estates which would be built in Burnage twenty years later.
